The Grand Union Canal runs through Milton Keynes on its way from London to Birmingham, and passes not far from the Quarries Campsite. You could hike your scouts from the trainstation at Leighton Buzzard, or any village along the canal, to The Quarries . More information can be found on the Canals and Rivers Trust website.
